Day 4: Integrating Core Features into the AI-Powered Real Estate System
Today was a productive yet reflective day in the 30-day journey to build an AI-powered real estate system. With the foundation laid in the earlier days, I focused on integrating essential components like the CRM and chatbot into the system. Additionally, I began designing how the property value estimator will be implemented while researching the best way to present its data effectively.
However, the day began by wrapping up some lingering tasks from Day 3, further refining the groundwork for what’s to come.
Finishing Up Day 3: Refining and Enhancing the System
Before diving into new tasks, I dedicated some time to finalizing the content and chatbot refinements.
Content Refinement
Using adjusted prompts, I revisited the website content generated by Claude. The tweaks made the tone even more engaging and aligned with the brand’s voice. Additionally, I ensured the FAQ section and knowledge base created with Perplexity were expanded, making the chatbot more knowledgeable and capable of handling a broader range of user queries.
Chatbot Strategy
For the MVP (minimum viable product), I decided to proceed with Chatbase. It’s the fastest option for deployment and integrates seamlessly with the system’s needs. That said, it has its limitations—customization and scalability are areas where it falls short compared to other tools.
Looking ahead, I see Voiceflow as the better option for this project, particularly for its no-code interface that allows for advanced conversational flows. If I were building a chatbot for a larger organization or more complex project, Botpress would be my choice. Its low-code nature and extensive customization options make it ideal for handling complex workflows.
For now, Chatbase works as a rapid deployment solution while leaving room to scale up with Voiceflow as the system evolves.
Branding Consistency
All placeholder images were finalized today, and the branding is now consistent across the website. The visuals created with MidJourney are cohesive and professional, aligning perfectly with the project’s goals. Having a consistent aesthetic at this stage helps ensure that future updates to the system maintain the same polished appearance.
Day 4: CRM Integration and System Features
With Day 3 wrapped up, I shifted focus to the major tasks for Day 4—finalizing CRM integration, embedding the chatbot, and designing the framework for the property value estimator.
Finalizing the CRM with HubSpot
I officially selected HubSpot as the CRM for this project. Its robust features and easy integration made it the best choice for managing leads and automating client interactions.
To connect the landing page form with the CRM, I created a private app in HubSpot. Using an access token, the form now seamlessly syncs data to the CRM, ensuring all client information is stored and accessible in one place. This integration lays the foundation for future automation workflows, making lead management more efficient.
Embedding the Chatbot
The chatbot is now embedded on the landing page using an iFrame, making it accessible for clients to interact with directly. This integration allows the MVP to handle client queries and qualify leads quickly and efficiently.
Designing the Property Value Estimator
While the property value estimator isn’t live yet, I worked on designing its placeholder within the website's frontend. The design prioritizes user experience, ensuring the tool will be intuitive and visually aligned with the rest of the system.
I’m still researching the best way to present property valuation data in a way that’s both comprehensive and easy to understand. This is a critical task, as the estimator will play a key role in attracting and retaining users on the platform.
Decisions on Automation Workflows
One task I didn’t get to today was building the automation workflows for email and text follow-ups. While email workflows are straightforward and essential, I’m still debating whether to include text messaging as part of the system.
A new consideration is leveraging Facebook Messenger through the chatbot instead. This could provide a more interactive way to engage with leads while reducing reliance on traditional SMS. I’ll revisit this decision soon, as the direction I choose will significantly impact the system’s communication strategy.
Challenges and Reflections
Every day brings decisions that shape the project’s direction. Here’s what I reflected on today:
- Balancing Speed and Scalability: Chatbase is the fastest way to deploy the chatbot, but I know I’ll need to transition to a more scalable option like Voiceflow for long-term success. This tradeoff is a reminder that MVPs are about progress, not perfection.
- Text vs. Messenger: Deciding between text-based communication and Facebook Messenger is a key consideration for the system’s future. Messenger offers rich, interactive conversations but may limit accessibility for clients who prefer SMS.
- Data Presentation: Researching how to best present property value data is an ongoing task that will require careful planning to balance detail and simplicity.
What’s Next?
Tomorrow, the focus will shift to creating the automation workflows for email and, potentially, text or Messenger. These workflows are crucial for nurturing leads and maintaining consistent communication. Additionally, I’ll continue refining the chatbot flows and property value estimator to ensure they deliver maximum value to users.
Final Thoughts
Day 4 was all about integration and laying the groundwork for smoother workflows. From connecting the CRM with a private app to embedding the chatbot and designing the property value estimator framework, the system is becoming more functional and user-friendly.
As I move forward, balancing speed with scalability and making strategic decisions about communication channels will be key. This project is about building something efficient and adaptable, and I’m excited to see it all come together.
