Launch day. The culmination of 28 days of planning, building, refining, and learning. Today felt like a pressure cooker, with every challenge amplifying the stakes. It wasn’t just about launching a system—it was about fulfilling a promise to myself to see this project through, even with the obstacles that inevitably came up.
Facing Launch Day Challenges
Pressure from Within
Imagine standing before a figurative board of directors, waiting for your every move, every decision. That’s how today felt. Except the board of directors was me—self-imposed expectations pushing me to deliver. I had to launch in some capacity, no matter what.
Technical Hiccups
If you’ve ever played around with domain configurations on launch day, take it from me: don’t.
- Changing domains last minute disrupted SSL configurations, causing security and access issues that cost me precious hours.
- These changes also impacted integration points for the chatbot, voice agent, and landing page, which rely on stable domain settings to function smoothly.
- Several backend tools needed to be reconfigured, delaying progress further.
I’ll dive into more detail about the lessons learned and best practices for managing domains and integrations in Day 30’s reflection post.
What’s Live Today?
Despite the setbacks, the system is live, and I’m proud to share these links:
1. Service Offering Website
This website showcases two service packages:
- Basic Service: Lead generation campaigns and CRM integration.
- Premium Service: Comprehensive solutions with landing pages, chatbot, voice agent, and FAQ eBook.
The site clearly outlines the system’s features, benefits, and pricing tiers, offering a professional gateway to potential clients.
2. MVP Sample – Premium Features in Action
This demo illustrates what clients can expect from the Premium Service Package, including:
- A landing page tailored for real estate investors in Southern Ontario.
- Chatbot and voice agent integration, equipped with localized knowledge.
- An FAQ eBook, providing immediate value and building trust with leads.
(Note: Currently, the chatbot and voice agent demo videos lack audio. I’ll address this in future updates.)
3. Original MVP Version
To provide a sense of the journey, I’ve also shared the original MVP for comparison, showcasing how far this project has come. It’s a raw, unpolished version of how the system started, illustrating the dramatic impact of prioritizing UX and refinement.
4. GitHub Repository
For those interested in the technical side of this project, the GitHub repository includes documentation and a detailed case study of the system’s regional adaptation for Owen Sound investors.
Lessons from Today
1. The Cost of Last-Minute Changes
Last-minute domain adjustments caused cascading issues:
- SSL Errors: Misaligned certificates led to security warnings.
- Broken Integrations: Chatbot and voice agent tools were impacted by inconsistent domain routing.
- Time Costs: Hours were spent troubleshooting, which could have been avoided with earlier testing.
I’ll break down these challenges and provide actionable solutions in Day 30’s detailed reflection.
2. Embracing the Imperfections
No launch is perfect, and this one was no exception. However, even with its flaws, the system works, and that’s a significant accomplishment.
3. MVPs Are About Learning
An MVP isn’t the final product—it’s a starting point. This project highlighted how iterative development can lead to functional, scalable solutions while identifying areas for improvement.
Looking Forward: Day 29 and Beyond
Tomorrow, I’ll reflect on the emotional and practical lessons learned during this journey. This will include:
- What I would do differently with a more flexible timeline.
- How this MVP could evolve with additional resources.
- Insights into balancing personal expectations with project realities.
Final Thoughts
From Day 1 to today, this project has been a testament to the power of setting a goal and seeing it through. While there were moments of doubt and frustration, the end result is something I’m proud to share—a system that works, delivers value, and serves as a foundation for future growth.
To everyone who’s followed along, thank you for being part of this journey. Stay tuned for Day 29, where I’ll dive into the deeper lessons this project has taught me.
